The Festival of Cricket would like to announce that it was successful in securing the venue for this year’s tournament at HAINAULT RECREATION GROUND, Forest Road, Hainault, ILFORD. The Tournament is to be played on Sunday 12th JULY 2015.

This has been made possible after intense negotiations with the Recreation Ground Management and the Redbridge council with the support of England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The FOC is privileged to have the ECB full-fledged support when it came to their knowledge for the first time about this great Sri Lankan annual Cricketing event. It is the governing body for all crickets in England and Wales. It has its headquarters at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. It is well known that ECB provides support for the game far beyond the boundaries of just international and first class cricket. As a result, FOC Executives have secured this new venue with the support of the ECB and that their dedicated and tireless work appears to have paid some dividends.

Redbridge Hainault recreation ground is the outdoor sports hub for the London borough Redbridge. It is home to 10 cricket pitches. The Ground is within easy walking distance of Fairlop and Hainault Central-Line London Underground Tube stations. It is about 15 minutes drive from A406, heading west from Woodgreen.

The park also hosts a well stocked playground for a range of ages. Visions sports development team have now established a new cricket league in the park which has brought for the first time mid week sports use to the ground for many years.
The Festival of Cricket has grown to be a big family, and in this 27th year tournament will have 31 OBU teams, playing 7 a side in limited overs.
