Sri Lanka To Participate At Expo Milan 2015

Sri Lanka will make its presence at the Expo Milan – 2015, one of the largest trade exhibitions from 01st May to 31st October this year in Rho Pero Fair Place, Milan Italy. The event will attract around 20 million visitors from around 140 countries.

World EXPO is an event where governments of the countries around the world get together to display the world what each country does for humanity.

EXPO Milano 2015 will be the largest worldwide event ever organized to unite countries, institutions and citizens around the world to discuss and discover issues related to food production, availability and safety of food, nutrition and the culture of food. The exhibition under the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, is a global cultural, educational and scientific event which aims to explore the global food and sustainable development challenge.

The aim is to create an unique experience for visitors, as protagonists, increasing their awareness of and seeking their participation in the drive.

Sri Lanka’s participation at EXPO Milano 2015 will be championed by Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Tea Board, National Gem and Jewellery Authority, National Crafts Council, Board of Investment, SriLankan Airlines, Department of Commerce, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
