New Year’s Eve Fundraising Charity Dance with Sunflowers
In aid of the Presidential Task Force project for Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention in Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan government have recognised that Chronic Kidney Disease has been on the rise and people diagnosed is at its highest peak. His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka, assigned the Presidential Task Force to divert its attention urgently and to deal with the crisis and it is with honour that the Presidential Task Force appointed Reality UK to raise funds and to assist them raise awareness of the disease.

Reality UK held their sixth 31st Night Charity Dance at the Sattavis Patidar Centre in Wembley and were blessed with the attendance of Neil Warnakulasuriya and Nelson Waas together with the full Sunflowers band who had flown all the way from Sri Lanka to honour the event. We are truly thankful to the Sunflowers who despite having a busy and tight schedule themselves, did not disappoint their fans in London and made it a night to remember.

The charity’s Patron Ven. Akurala Samitha gave a heart touching speech regarding the rise of Chronic Kidney Disease in Sri Lanka and wished all attendees to enjoy the event and for a prosperous new year. The President of the charity, Lukith Cooray, gave a warm welcome speech and thanked everyone for coming and supporting a good cause.

Mr Asela Iddawela, the Presidential Task Force Project Director graciously attended the event with his family. Mr Iddawela and his family had also flown all the way from Sri Lanka to honour the event and provided an excellent video article and literature to raise awareness of the Project in Sri Lanka.

Sunflowers brought everyone to the dance floor and kept them dancing the whole night with their repertoire of scintillating music. There was a dance competition for Children, King and Queen of the Night together with an Auction and Raffle Price Draw. Guests enjoyed a Sri Lankan cuisine exquisitely prepared by Golden Platter the official caters. It was not until the early hours of the following day when the event was brought to a close with the Sri Lankan National Anthem and all satisfied guests reluctantly started heading home.
