Sri L catering First Ever New Year's Eve Dinner Dance

Sri L catering were delighted to host their first ever New Years Eve dinner dance at the Hilton Hotel, London.

The event successfully attracted 200 people from diverse ages and backgrounds, making this a sell-out evening.

After serving a trio of traditional Sri Lankan starters – fish buns, cutlets and coriander chicken; guests were spoilt for choice over a buffet dinner serving a delicious variety of curries and sambals including chicken, lamb devilled and prawn curry as well as pineapple curry to name a few. For dessert guests were treated to tiramisu, wattalapan and exotic fruit salad – including papaya, pineapple and mango!

The entertainment started with a captivating Kandiyan dancer followed by a live Sri Lankan band. The guests couldn’t resist dancing all night to celebrate the evenings events.

At midnight, everyone gathered to countdown and see the new year in, with the fireworks in London live streaming into a screen in the room. As per tradition, guests were served celebratory kiribath (milk rice) and homemade iced coffee to welcome 2017 as well as takeaway coffee for the journey home.

Sri L Catering is a quickly becoming a well-known caterer in Greater London, who provide Sri Lankan and Indian food. They have held many events including pop-up restaurants in Central London, cricket festivals, concerts and many other food festivals around the country for up to 700 people, as well as birthdays and weddings.
