Gee Ama concert was held successfully with two of our legend artist Visharada Nada malini and Dr Victor Rathnayaka on the 30th June 2013 at the Logan Hall, 20 Bedford Way, London, WC1H 0AL.
It turned up with an inspired crowd happening to be one of the most successful, house full shows in UK in the recent past. Mr Prasad Orland, Mrs Shanika Weerasinghe, Mr Priya Vijaya Fonseka, Mrs Prema Ganegoda the main organisers along with the Art Lanka Association UK were very delightful when their time and energy turned up to a showering inspired show.
The concert was orchestrate under Mr Suresh Maliyadde (Music Director) Mahendra Pasquel (Guitar), Rukshan Gunawardana(Volin), Niaml Kalubowila(Thabla), Priyantha Dissanayaka(Flute), Nuwam Perera (Guitar), Gunamini Dahanayaka (Mandolin), Prasad Orlando (Bass Guitar), Dilan Pathirana (Keyboard), Ben Fernando (Drums), Ransith Mudduwa (Sitar) Anjula Gunasekera ( percussion).
This happened to the first ever show in the UK which an orchestra was played with a combination of players visiting from Sri Lanka and local players in the UK with a total of 14 members.
This lighted up as a historical evening as Dr victor Rathanyaka & Visharada Nanda Malini performed on a stage together for the 3rd time in their lives.
