Mahanayaka Theros visit Kingsbury Buddhist Temple

The high level Buddhist delegation, who visited London to participate in the Kathina ceremony at the Sri Sambodhi Meditation Centre in London visited the Sri Saddhatissa International Buddhist Centre on Monday 23 October to call on Aggamahapandita Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Sangha Nayaka Thero.


Most Venerable Warakagoda Gunatatana Maha Nayaka Thero of the Siyam Maha Nikaya,Asgiriya Chapter; Aggamahapandita Most Venerable Napane Pemasiri-bhidhana Maha Nayaka Thero of the Ramanna Maha Nikaya; Ven. Uduwara Dhammarakkitha Nayaka Thero of the Badugallena Aranya, Buttala; Ven. Muruddeniye Dhammarathana Nayaka Thero of the Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viihara, Badulla; Ven. Hurikaduwe Pragnasekera Nayaka Thero of the Sri Vidyasagara Pirivena; Ven. Walala Pemalankara of the Sri Vidyasagara Pirivena and Ven. Madugalle Mahanama Thero, Head of Sri Sambodhi Meditation Centre in London gave their blessings for the good health and long life of Ven. Piyadassi Nayaka Thero.


They also chanted Pirith to the large crowd that had gathered to welcome them.


The Mahanayaka Theros and the delegation visited London with the invitation of Ven. Daranagama Kusaladhamma Thero, Chief Incumbent of Sri Sambodhi Vihara in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sri Sambodhi Community Development Foundation in London and Chairman of Buddhist Media Network, Sri Lanka.
