Parakrama Ranasinghe remembered

A Sangika Dana was held at the Sri Saddatissa International Buddhist Centre to remember and pass merits to late Parakrama Ranasinghe on his 14th death anniversary.

It was organised by his family and friends. Head of the Vihara, Chief Sanghanayaka of Great Britain Aggamaha Pandita Most Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Nayake Thera and several resident monks attended the Pinkama.

Ven. Dr. Handupelpola Mahinda Thera in his Anusasana said that " Parakrama Ranasinghe was a true socialist and a genuinely kind hearted person who was well known for his kindness and generosity in helping a vast number of Sri Lankans who visited him for advice and assistance.

During his time as the President of the SLFP Branch in the UK Parakrama worked tirelessly restructuring the branch, did an exemplary job and remained as its President until his untimely death 14 years ago

Pan Wedima was performed to pass merits to the late Parakrama Ranasinha.

The large gathering included Parakrama's family, friends.
