FOC elects its New Office bearers for 2015 - Press Release

The 27th Annual General Meeting of the Festival of Cricket was held on the 12th October 2014 at the Lihiniya Restaurant. The highlight of the AGM was the unanimous appointments of the new office bearers for 2014/2015. Mr Upul Ekanayake from Dharmaraja College Kandy was appointed as the Hon. President while Mr Samantha Siriwardana from St. Anthony’s College Kandy re-appointed as the Hon. Secretary and Mr. Shanaka Rodrigo from Holly Cross College Kalutara was appointed as the Hon. Treasurer.

While thanking the house for his new appointment as the President of the FOC Mr. Ekanayake emphasised the importance of working as a team, as teamwork will be the only solution to overcome the challenges ahead and came up with the theme‘‘ One Team '' for year 2015.

Festival of Cricket was established in the year 1989, Consisting of Sri Lankan Old Boys Associations (OBA’s) in the United Kingdom. This is the biggest annual gathering of the Sri Lankan community in the UK. The association is made up of representatives of prominent and leading schools in Sri Lanka resident in UK. 28 school OBAs will once again participate in the Festival.
