The Wesley College Old Boys’ Union held their 23rd AGM at Grange St Paul’s Hotel, London.
The newly elected president Ranjith Chandrasena thanked the members for the trust reposed in him and the honour bestowed. He thanked the outgoing president Nalin Perera for the particularly distinguished leadership provided over two consecutive years and for having established and developed several new initiatives over the two years; he thanked the outgoing committee too for the outstanding and dedicated service rendered.
The new president stressed the need to work closely with the Old Boys’ Unions in Colombo and in Australia and the college authorities in Colombo with a perspective of particular emphasis on consolidating the development of the sixth form. It was, he said, our opportunity to honour the spirit of dedication of the founding fathers.
