Liz Jacobs stopped the rampaging pachyderm in its tracks after it gave chase to her Sri Lankan safari tour Jeep.

Hilarious video sees her seriously freaking out as the beast starts to run after the vehicle.

“We’re going to crash into them!” she’s heard screeching as a herd of the animals fast approaches.

“Faster, faster,” she yells at the driver, before ear-piercingly hollering out, “Keep going!”

As the Jeep accelerates away, the elephant eventually gives up the game and walks into nearby brush.

Jacobs is then heard quietly sobbing.

She later spoke to Nine News about the petrifying incident, which occurred on a wildlife excursion in Sri Lanka’s Kaudulla National Park.

“We really thought we were gonna die for a moment and then the elephant just backed off,” she said.

“I must have hurt his ears with my screaming!” she added.
