The Old Royalists' Autumn Extravaganza 2015

The Old Royalists' Association in the U.K. (ORAUK) bade good bye to "those lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer" and ushered in the shorter days and "longer under the duvet" nights of the autumn, when they staged their annual autumn fund raising event in October 2015 at the Thistle Hotel in Heathrow.

An unseasonally warm autumn evening contributed to the success of the spectacular sell out event attended by a large number of alumni of that great Reid Avenue institution, their families and friends. The pulsating music of Manju Munasinghe and his band "Sky High" kept the guests, including the septuagenarians, on their feet throughout the evening. The traditional Sri Lankan buffet complete with "Achcharu", Pappadam and Wattalappan and the Grand Raffle were highlights of the evening.

The staff at the Heathrow Thistle and in particular its' Event Planner, Mr. Chandana Edirisooriya, were very helpful in making the evening a very enjoyable one.
