On the 1st January Sri Saddatissa International Buddhist Centre held various religious programmes to welcome the New Year. Large crowds of devotees visited the temple through out the day.
Head of the Vihara, The Chief Sangha Nayaka Of Great Britain Aggamaha Panditha Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thera and all the resident monks took part in chanting Seth Pirith, Buddha Puja, Dana, Buddha Wandanaa and other programmes.
Aruna Shantha Kotawella conducted special Puja at the Sri Vishnu Katharagama Dewale to bless the devotees who came to worship.
