On the initiative of Ven.(Dr) Handupelpola Mahnda Nayaka Thero,The world Buddhist Foundation printed a special volume felicitating Venerabl Galayaye Piyadassi Nayaka Thero. The 160 page volume contain congratulatory messages from religious leaders, political personalities and articles from distinguished scholars.
The Maha Nayaka Theros of Asgiriya and Anunayaka Theros of Malwatta, Ven. (Dr) Akuretiye Nanda Sangha Nayaka Thero and heads of important Buddhist Temples in Sri Lanka, France and the UK sent special messages. The President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, who are well known to Ven. Piyadassi Nayaka Thero, sent messages for the publication.
The Volume was edited by Ven Professor Deegalle Mahinda Thero and Dr Senevi Aturupana.
The official presentation of the volume was made by Dr Senevi Aturupana at the felicitation ceremony held on 2nd July 2017 which was compered by Ven Nepal Sumana Thero.
