The Wellington Hotel Annex, situated in New York City was demolished in order to make space for a $66 million convention centre.

Just 16 seconds and a cloud of smoke was all it took to wow a crowd of around 1,000 people Saturday morning, as the Wellington Hotel Annex went down.

Firecrackers lighting up the sky and thundering sound waves echoing through the capital city created a sensory experience like no other.
