Paahimpath & Kala Eli Mangalyaya
The Kala Eli Mangalya is an event to showcase the talents of students for the first time officially as well as for the senior, students to show what they have learnt. The graduation process begins with the senior students paying homage to the gods by being vegetarian at least for a month. During the month various religious activities are carried out in order to bless the students in preparation for the upcoming show. On the day of the show, at an auspicious time, the students along with their costumes are blessed in the temple in a ritual known as the Pahimpath Mangalyaya. Upon completion of the religious rituals and having performed as dancers at the temple for the first time, they will join the junior students performing for the Kala Eli Mangalyaya.
