Sheffield,UK හි වෙසෙන ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් විසින් දෙවන වරටත් සංවිධානය කෙරුණු පොසොන් සැමරුම Sheffield සහ ඒ අවට වෙසෙන බතිමතුම් රැසකගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් අති උත්කර්ෂවත් ලෙස පසුගිය පොසොන් පොහොය දින Sheffield Buddhist center හී දී පවත්වන ලදී. පොසොන් බැති ගී සරණිය මූලික කොට පැවතුණ මෙම උළෙල ඉතා ආකර්ශනීය ළමා නැටුම් අංග , පොසොන් කුඩු සරසිලි මල් , පහන් සුවදකූරු පුජා සහ දැකුම්කළු මිහින්තලා අනුරුවකින් ද අංග සම්පුර්ණ විණි. Manchester කේතුමතී විහාරයේ ඇති පුජ්‍ය ප්‍රේමානන්ද හිමියන්ගේ අනගි කාලෝචිත දහම් දෙසුමකින් සහ පරිත් සෙත් පැතුමකින් ප්‍රාණවත් වූ පොසොන් සැමරුම අවසන් වූයේ පැමිණි සිටි සියල්ල සදහා Sheffield Hallam University හී SLIIT සිසු සිසුවියන් විසින් පිළිගැන්වූ ඉතා රසවත් දන්සැල් සංග්‍රහයකින්ද පසුය . ශ්‍රී ලංකාවෙන් ඒපිට වෙසුණද අංගසම්පුර්ණ අපගේ සංකෘතික අංග වලින් ඔප් නැගුණු මෙම සැමරුම පැමිණි සියල්ලගෙන්ම විශේෂ ඇගයිමට සහ ප්‍රසංසාවට ලක්විණි. On the 23rd of June, Sheffield Sri Lankans celebrated Poson Bathi Gee Saraniya 2013 on a grand scale for the 2nd year running.
Many Sri Lankans and other nationalities from the wider area including the students from Sheffield Hallam University participated. This celebration consisted of Children's dances, Poson lanterns, lighting oil lamps & incense sticks, offering flowers, an artistic creation of Mihinthale and of course the special Poson songs of praise " Bathi Gee". The new song by our own Layan Asiri Bandara Wijekoon was an instant hit.Preaching and Pirith Prayers were by Ven Pemananda Thero of Manchester Kethumathi Buddhist temple. The proceedings culminated in a "Dansala" alms giving by the SLIIT students of Sheffield Hallam University. Though we are faraway from our mother land all the participants
