RAHULA DHAMMA DAY - 2014
Annual London Buddhist Vihara Sunday Dhamma School prize giving and Variety Show was held at the Vihara on 30th March 2014. Chief Guest was H. E Dr Chris Nonis the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka. The children performed a drama showing the life of the Anagarika Dharmapala to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Anagarika Dharmapala, the founder of the London Buddhist Vihara. The children of the Pubudu Daham in Barnet also took part in the event. The Most Ven. Seelawimala Nayaka Thera, Head of the Viahra, Dr. Chris Nonis, Dr. Lakdas Panagoda (VMC), Ven. K Ariyaratna, the main organiser of the event and Ven. Bandula, The Principal of the LBV Dhamma School addressed the gathering. Venerable monks, Mr. Neville De Silva the Deputy High Commissioner, Mrs Louise Marchant The Registrar of the Buddhist Society London, Members of the VMC distributed presents and certificates to the Dhamma school children.
