The Show was a great success and all who attended enjoyed an evening of a variety of music, dancing and entertainment. The programme was arranged by Charmaine Jayetilleke MBE and Manoja Almeida, and all the committee members who supported the event in various ways.
Dr Charles Tannock, Member of the European Parliament, was the Chief Guest, and was welcomed by little Dylanki De Soysa and Darius Ulcickas.
The stage was a masterpiece created by the talented Shiran Almeida, which portrayed ancient Sri Lanka - and the lighting was superb.
The performers were from over 10 different nations and entertained the audience on the piano, organ, cello, violin, harp, oboe and song and dance. The artistes who participated were Jo Garcia, Mark Underwood, Hiroko Kori, Jenny Axtell, Prof. Andrew Miller, John Escott, Ruth Bush, Alvaro Gonzalez Cortes, Sara Alvarez Alba, Bravinsan Karunanithy, Mariah Almeida, Tharushi, Ramani Rajaratnam, Aneesha Jurangpathy, Thimali Perera, Sethma, Romith, Stephan, Randeera and Flavio.
Our grateful thanks go to Newslanka for their continued support - Hermion Tavarayan for helping with the programme. Also, Nimal Navaratne who did the photographs, and the Kensington Reformed Church for the use of their venue.
All funds raised will go towards our project - the building of the
