On the 28th at Pedro tea estate 700 people gathered to pick tea. At this event they collect 3000 kg of tea and they went in to process black tea at Padro tea factory.
Day 29th early morning Basilur tea was start made at the City council premises in Kandy. Basilur tea company use 20 large pots to prepare 35000 tea cups. 300 members of Kandy hoteliers association provided the distribution of tea to the guest at professional way. President of the association me Upul Gedarakumbura led the team and it took only just over a three hours to distribute the sun wiser with the record registration number, the cup of tea and two biscuit was handed over to the guests and followed by with record keeping name list.
Dr Rohantha Ahtukorala the Chairman Sri Lanka Tourisum Bureau who took the initiative to work with APOT.asia and Sri Lankan Airlines to identify the value of promoting tea through Tourisum to the world.
In the evening Rakitha Jayawardena the Chairman APOT.Asia and founder / CEO Keerthi Hapugasdeniya offer the same tea and snacks to countries President and prime minister with the registration sun visor.
