A team of 13 dedicated members of the SPM PPA UK, together with their loyal supporters, successfully completed the Chiltern 50 Challenge 10km walk on Saturday, enjoying a scenic route through the beautiful Henley-on-Thames countryside. Blessed with good weather and high spirits, the walk was filled with fresh air, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness.
This annual charity walk was organised to raise funds in support of less privileged schoolchildren in Sri Lanka, and the response from the community was truly inspiring. Despite the challenging woodland paths, all participants completed the full 10km, demonstrating remarkable determination and teamwork. Thanks to the generosity of members, friends, families, and well-wishers, the fundraising effort raised close to 1 million LKR, successfully achieving its target.
The event stood out as a meaningful initiative that went beyond traditional fundraising, combining community service with health and wellbeing. Organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed, with special thanks to the SPM PPA UK Branch committee for coordinating such a memorable event. The walk served as a powerful reminder that when the community comes together, great things can be achieved.
