"Dam Udawa" Children's Dhamma Day

"Dam Udawa" Children's Dhamma Day was organized by the Jethavana Buddhist Vihara in Birmingham under the guidance of chief incumbent and Chief prelate for Sri Lanka Ramanna Nikaya for Great Britain Venerable Keppitiyagoda Gunawansa Nayaka Thero It was held last Sunday. Meditation, mindfulness Session was held for the children by Ven. Beragama Piyarathana Thero.

Many activities were presented by children including friendly debate about Karma, PowerPoint presentation about History of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, Many speeches, dances and various items were presented by the Jethavana Dhamma school children. Prizes were distributed in appreciation of children's performances by the teachers. The children had very good opportunity to learn Dhamma and develop their skills. The programme marked a successful step towards quality Dhamma education.
