MAHINDA OBA, Celebrating 25th Jubilee

The Association of Old Mahindians in the UK was formed in the summer of 1989 with the help of a few dedicated Alumni with the main aim of assisting and nurturing Mahinda College and its current pupils. The membership grew from small numbers to more than 90 in the following years. Our main fund raising event is the Annual Dinner dance.

This is our 25th Jubilee year and it will be held on the 4th October. At the Holiday Inn London, Empire Way, Wembley, HA9 8DS.Over the years the association has donated funds and material worth over £30,000 to the parent college to support educational, sports and cultural activities.

Every year a new project is undertaken to improve the college requirements specially in the field of education. At present 10 students benefit from scholarships donated by the AOMUK. The President and the executive committee thank the past pupils for their support during the last 25 years and requests to continue the good work for many more years to come.
