Janahanda Meets Duchess of Cornwell

Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday will be one of the highlights of 2016. The Queen celebrated her birthday on April 21. And events are also taking place in May and June with pomp, pageantry and many celebrations around Britain. The Queen's official birth day is always marked with traditional military parade known as trooping the colour. Her majesty the queen will travel to inspect her personal troop in Horse Guard parade. The significance of her 90th Birthday is that she becomes the longest serving monarch surpassing her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria.

The garden party at Buckingham Palace is also well known amongst many people. This garden party is invited to many who represent different facets of British society. The common wealth high commissioners, the service men and women, representatives from various organisations are amongst those who receive the invitations for this very special occasion.

Hounslow Janahanda Foundation in the UK also had the privilege to participate for this event. It was a so impressive moment. Every single guest had worn very fashionable costume which made this occasion more colourful. Although there were about 8000 guests at the venue; no murmuring noises from the invitees heard. everybody was served delicious dish of sweets cake and beverage.
When the queen and Duke of Edinburg arrive accompanying royal family members everybody in the yard stood upright in an honour of queen and royal family members. Afterword, royal family members walked slowly toward the guests and started talking them.

Janahanda foundation representatives were consist of Solicitor Soorya Samaraweera, the president of Jannahanda Mr. SriLal Dias,Mrs Dhammika Dias, Nilantha and sugath. When Duchess of Cornwall was walking through the crowd, she caught glimpse of our presence. Then we had a brief conversation with her. We explained to her about our voluntary community service. She was so pleased and reminded us about her srilanka visit last time. She further said that would visit Srilanka again when she gets an opportunity.

හවුන්ස්ලෝ ජනහඬ කැමිලා කුමරිය හමුවෙයි

එංගලන්තයේ ලංඩන් නගරයේ හවුන්ස්ලෝ ප්‍රදේශයේ ශ්‍රිලාංකික ජන ප්‍රජාවගේ ප්‍රජාසංවර්ධන කටයුතු වෙනුවෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන හවුන්ස්ලෝ ජනහඬ සංවිධානය, 2016 මැයි 19වෙනිදා කෝන්වෙල් ආදිපාදවරිය වන කැමිලා කුමරිය හමුවිය.දෙවැනි එළිසබත් මහරැජිනගේ 90වෙනි ජන්මෝත්සවය අදියර කීපයකින් අතිඋත්කර්ශවත් අන්දමින් වාර්ෂිකව පවත්වනුලැබේ.බකින්හැම් මාළිගාවේ උද්යාන සාදය(Garden party in the Buckingham Palace) සඳහා පොදු රාජ්ය මණ්ඩලිය කොමසාරිවරු ඇතුළු එංගලන්තයේ විවිධ සේවාවන්හි නිරත 8000 ආසන්න පිරිසකට මේ සඳහා ආරාදනා කරුනුලැබේ.

මේ අතර 2016 වසරේ උද්යාන සාදය සඳහා ජනහඬ පදනමටද ආරාධන ලැබිනි. මෙම අවස්ථාවට සම්බන්ද වූ නියෝජිතයින්ට කැමිලා කුමරිය හමුවී අදහස් හුවමාරු කරගැනිමටද අවස්තාවක් ලබාගැනිමට හැකිවිය.මෙහිදි ජනහඬ සංවිධානය මගින් සිදුකරන ප්‍රජාසත්කාරක සේවාවන් පිළිබඳව ජනහඬ නියොජිතයෝ ඇයට පැහැදිලි කලහ. මෙහිදී සිය සතුට ප්‍රකාශකල ඇය ශ්‍රිලාකාව සුන්දර රටක් බවත් නැවත වරක් ශ්‍රිලාංකව නැරබීමට අදහස්කරගෙන සිටින බවත් සඳහන් කළාය.

මෙකී සාදය සඳහා සංවිධානකටයුතු මෙහෙයවනු ලැබුවේ ජනහඬ සංවිධානයේ සභාපති ශ්‍රිලාල් ඩයස් මහතා විසිනි.
