At the gathering organised by Acting High Commissioner, Dr Chanaka Talpahewa, Sri Lanka's newly elected President Maithripala Sirisena, spoke in Sinhala to a large gathering of various Sri Lanka interest group leaders in the UK. Also present at the gathering were Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister, Mangala Samaraweera and Minister of Resettlement, Reconstruction & Hindu Religious Affairs, D. M. Swaminathan.
