Getting Started

All submission tools are available in the free APISRILANKAN app. Download it, create a free account, and you're ready to go.

Download the App

Get the free APISRILANKAN app from the App Store or Google Play — it's free on iOS and Android.

Create an Account

In the app, navigate to Profile Register & Submit to create your free account.

Use the Wizard

Tap Submit in the app and follow the step-by-step wizard. Our AI pre-fills details to save you time.

Await Review

Your submission goes to Pending. The admin team reviews it and publishes it once approved.

Submission Statuses

Pending Submitted and awaiting admin review.
Published Approved and live on the platform.
Review Admin has flagged it — check the status note for details.
Rejected Not approved — check the status note for the reason.

News Article Submission

Share a community story, announcement, or report. Write your content and let the AI suggest the headline, categories, and tags.

Write Your Article Content AI

Paste or type your article text. The minimum is 50 characters. The AI reads your content to generate a headline suggestion in the next step.

Confirm the Headline AI

Review the AI-suggested headline and edit it if needed, then confirm to continue.

Upload Images Optional

Upload up to 10 images. These will be available to choose from as the featured image in the next step.

Select Featured Image

Pick one image to display as the article's header. Any remaining images are automatically added as an inline gallery within the article.

Select Categories AI

Choose up to 2 categories. The AI pre-selects the best matches — you can change them.

Review & Submit AI Tags

Check the headline, content, images, categories, and AI-suggested tags. Confirm your author details and click Submit.

Tip: Well-structured, factual content produces the most accurate AI headline suggestions. Each wizard session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity — save your text elsewhere before starting if your article is long.

Event Submission

Promote your upcoming event. Upload your flyer and the AI extracts the title, dates, venue, and more — you just confirm the details.

Upload Your Event Flyer AI

Upload a photo or image of your event flyer. You can also add any extra details in the Additional Information field that the flyer doesn't cover. The AI will read the flyer to extract the event details automatically.

Confirm Event Title AI

Review the title extracted from the flyer. Edit it if the AI misread anything, then confirm.

Select Categories AI

Choose up to 2 categories. The AI suggests the best match (at 60%+ confidence) — you can override the suggestion.

Confirm Dates AI

Review the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time extracted from the flyer. Correct them if the AI misread the flyer.

Confirm Cost & URL AI

Review the Cost field (e.g. "Free", "£10", "£5–£15", max 20 characters) and enter or confirm the event URL for tickets or further info.

Confirm Venue AI

The AI matches the venue to an existing entry in our database. If no confident match is found, a new venue is created automatically. Review and change it if needed.

Confirm Organiser AI

The AI matches the organiser to an existing entry. If no match is found, a new organiser is created. Review and confirm or select a different one.

Review & Submit

Check all the extracted and confirmed details, then click Submit to send the event for review.

Tip: Use a high-quality, legible flyer image. The clearer the text on the flyer, the more accurately the AI can extract the event details. The flyer image becomes the event's featured image once published.

Business Directory Submission

Website URL

Paste your business website URL. The AI reads the page and extracts your key business details.

Description

Type or paste a free-text description of your business. The AI pulls out the relevant details to pre-fill the form.

Select Category AI

Choose the most appropriate category for your business. The AI pre-selects a suggestion based on your input — you can change it.

Business Details AI

Review and confirm your Business Name, Tagline (a short one-liner), and full Description. Edit any field the AI got wrong.

Address

Enter or confirm your business address — street, town/city, county, postcode, and country. The address is automatically geocoded and will appear on the map once published.

Upload Photos Min 1 required

Upload 1–8 photos of your business. The first photo becomes the featured image; the rest appear in a gallery. If the AI found images from your URL, they are pre-loaded here for you to review.

Contact & Social Details

Enter your Phone, Email, Website, Contact Person, and social media links (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

Review & Submit

Review all your business details, then click Submit to send your listing for review.

Tip: A Google Business Profile URL gives the most complete and accurate pre-fill — make sure your profile is set to public. Listing your business is completely free of charge.

Marketplace Submission

Buy, sell, trade, or rent items within the community. Paste an existing ad and the AI pre-fills all the details for you.

Listing Types

  • Sell — You are selling an item
  • Buy — You are looking to buy something
  • Wanted — Looking for a specific item
  • Trade — You want to swap or trade
  • Rent — You are renting something out

Item Conditions

  • New — Brand new, unused
  • Like New — Barely used
  • Used — Normal wear and tear
  • Fair — Works but shows significant wear
  • For Parts — Not fully functional

Optional: Paste an Existing Ad AI Pre-fill

If you already have an ad written (e.g. from Facebook Marketplace or another site), paste it into the text area and click Analyse. The AI will extract the title, description, price, condition, listing type, and contact details — saving you from typing everything again. You can skip this step and fill in the form manually.

Select Category

Choose the most relevant category for your item from the list.

Item Details

Enter or confirm the Title, Description, Listing Type, Condition, Price (optional), and whether the price is Negotiable.

Upload Photos Min 1 required

Upload 1–8 photos of the item. Clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles help attract buyers. The first photo becomes the featured image.

Contact Details

Enter your Location (town/area), and at least one contact method: Phone, Email, or Facebook profile link. All contact fields are optional except for the minimum one.

Review & Submit

Review all item details and contact information, then click Submit to post your ad for review.

Tip: Do not include your full home address in the description — use the contact fields instead. At least one contact method (Phone, Email, or Facebook) must be provided before you can submit.

Managing Your Submissions

Track and manage everything you've submitted from your personal dashboard.

Update your display name, bio, and profile photo. You can also change your password from the same page.

Status Notes

If a submission is set to Review or Rejected, the admin team may leave a status note explaining why. Check your dashboard for any notes and resubmit or contact us if needed.

Email Notifications

You will receive a confirmation email when you submit content, and the admin team is notified automatically to begin the review.
