The Annual General Meeting of the Old Royalists' Association in the U.K

Old Royalists' Association in the UK (ORAUK), a pioneer among Srilankan Schools' Alumni organisations, held its' 32nd Annual General Meeting at Beaufort House in Aldgate, London, on Sunday the 28th of June with a representative gathering of both young and not so young former graduates of that revered Reid Avenue institution in attendance .

The outgoing President of two years, Mr. Mohamed Hussain, addressed the gathering, to give a brief resume of the various projects and initiatives undertaken by the Association in the preceding 12 months and offered his thanks to the committee for the help and support he had received during his term of office. This was followed by a report from the Hon'y Treasurer Mr. Rashantha De Silva on the state of Association's finances including the audited accounts.

These preliminaries were followed by the election of Office Bearers for the year 2015/16.

All posts were filled without a contest, and the full list of the men at the controls are as follows.

President: Rashantha De Silva

Vice Presidents: Earle Amerasekera and AbhayaKarunasekera

Secretary :HemanthaEdirisooriya

Treasurer:Dr. JanakaWeerathunga

Assistant Secretary: Thusitha Vithanage

Committee: Dai LiyanageMBE, Dr.NihalSamarasinghe, Dr.GnanaSankaralingam, SelvaSathananthan, VinayaganSangaralingam, Dr.PalithaSerasinghe, JanakRanasinghe,GarukaSerasinghe, Manoj Rupasinghe.

The association also formed three sub-committees to manage Sports, Events and Media matters chaired by HemanthaEdirisooriya, Earle Amerasekera and Dr.NihalSamarasinghe respectively. Following members were appointed as sub-committee members for the year 2015/16

GayanRanasinghe, Malinda Thotiwilage, ArjunaJayathilaka, KshemaSugunadasa, KushanDhanapala, Dilip Kumar Illagolle and PasinduChamikara.
