The Hounslow Sri Lankan Janahanda Foundation (UK) conducts an annual programme of providing free wheel chairs and working frames and spectacles and school items for the needy people in Laxapathiya Moratuwa Sri Lanka.

This year 2015 the programme was held in the Laxapathiya Moratuwa. Founder President of the Foundation, Sri Lal Dias visited Sri Lanka to oversee the implementation of he programme. The distribution event was arranged by the Prashamanee fernando and Members of the Grama Sanwardana Kantha Sanwidanaya, Lankadeepa local media coraspondan Mr Rohana Silva and with Mr Sudesh and pinpon and former Moratua MP Minister Jevan Kumaratunga too were present at the occasion.

During the past Ten years Sri Lanka Janahanda Foundation of Hounslow, London was involved in another meritorious campaign to donate spectacles, Wheel Chairs, Woking Frames, Clachaers, School Items for School children in rural villages of Sri Lanka.

 

The Hounslow Sri Lanka Janahanda Foundation is planning to carry out further programmes of this nature in various parts of Sri Lanka and appeals to all Sri Lankans domiciled in the UK as well as to other generous public to assist the Foundation to continue its activities successfully.
