New passport to be introduced for Sri Lankans

A revamped national passport is to be introduced.

According to the Minister of Public Order and Christian Affairs, John Amaratunga, steps are already being taken to look in to its implementation

He noted special attention will be paid with regard to the inclusion of the passport holder’s fingerprint, as a more secure identification method.
