Sun directly over Sri Lanka

The Sun is going to be directly over Sri Lanka from today to 7 September, a Meteorology Department release said.

The Sun will be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during this period, due to its apparent southward relative motion.

The Met. Dept. also said few showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts particularly during the morning.


Thundershowers will develop at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces during the afternoon or evening.
