The reorganisation of the UNP UK Branch Youth League took place on Sunday 18 January 2015 at Liheniya Restaurant. The Youth League had to be reorganised as the membership had grown rapidly and the constitution had also, to be amended to meet with the present time. The meeting attracted a good crop of youngsters which no doubt talks well for the future.

The President of the UNP UK Branch Mr Dinesh Kapukotuwa addressed the meeting and talked of the recent Sri Lankan presidential election victory of Hon Mithripala Sirisena. He reminded the gathering that it was the UNP vote that brought victory for the Common Candidate. The new Government has promised to full its pledge within one hundred days and build a Corruption free, safe and peaceful Sri Lanka. The UNP will work hand in hand with the New President to achieve this goal. Within the next three months Sri Lanka will have a General Election and the UNP is set to win this election. We must work for the victory of a UNP Government. The United National Party UK Branch depends in its youth league for its support and the future of the UNP UK Branch is in your hands. He thanked the UNP Youth for turning up for the meeting and was happy to see a good attendance.

To give support to the UNP UK Branch to carry out its many programmes. It also, worked closely with the main branch fund raising activities.
