Dear Friends,

Sri Lankan Association in Scotland cordially invite you to the Sinhala & Hindu New Year Celebration in Scotland. This event is organised by a group of volunteers and well-wishers teamed up as 'SRI LANKAN ASSOCIATION IN SCOTLAND'. This is however the first event we are organising after the Independence Day Celebration we organised in 2010.

Starting the event, the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the United Kingdom, Most Venerable Kamburawala Siri Rewatha Thero will be conducting the 'TRADITIONAL OIL ANOINTING' Ceremony. We will have many more traditional and fun events for children and adults to celebrate the New Year. We will publish the full details of the event in the next few days.

Not just for the winners of competitions, every child will be receiving a New Year gift at the event. In addition to the fun events, we will have Retail Stalls at the event. At the moment we have agreed with Ceylon Super Mart (www.ceylonsupermart.com) and Senu Shipping (www.senushipping.co.uk) to have their stalls at the event. Ceylon Super Mart will be selling Sri Lankan groceries at a discounted price. Also you can collect your pre-ordered groceries from their stall at the event. More information to follow. Senu Shipping will accept your parcels and boxes to be shipped to Sri Lanka at the event. We will provide the full details of how you can get these benefits from these vendors prior to the event. There will be a scrumptious Sri Lankan buffet for everyone to enjoy, catered by one of the leading Caterers in the UK.

It is much appreciated if you could please confirm us your participation to the event and also let us know how many of you are attending, on or before 04th April 2015. Also we would like to know, if you have children under 15 coming with you (let us know girls or boys and their ages).

This information is required and will be helpful for us to reserve your seats, organise catering and suitable gifts for the children. We will send you more information within the next few days and looking forward to see you all there celebrating the new year! Thank you.

Kind regards,

Sri Lankan Association in Scotland
