The Old Thomians’ Association in the UK brought together generations of Old Thomians for a memorable evening of fellowship, elegance and celebration at its annual Dinner Dance, “A Timeless Celebration,” held on 10 October 2026 at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.
The event marked a significant milestone in the history of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, celebrating 175 years since its founding in 1851. Under the theme of a timeless celebration, the evening honoured the college’s rich heritage, enduring traditions and the lifelong bonds shared by its alumni across generations.
Set against an atmosphere of sophistication and nostalgia, the dinner dance provided an opportunity for Old Thomians and their guests to reconnect, share memories and celebrate the values that continue to unite the Thomian community, both in Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.
Music and entertainment were central to the evening, with DJ Hashan of 2FORTY2 keeping guests entertained throughout the celebration. Production was handled by Spectra London, contributing to the event’s elegant atmosphere.
Beyond the festivities, the occasion served as a tribute to the remarkable legacy of S. Thomas’ College and its generations of students who have carried its traditions and values into different parts of the world. The 175th anniversary milestone offered a meaningful reminder of the institution’s lasting influence and the strength of its global alumni network.
The Old Thomians’ Association in the UK continues to play an important role in bringing the community together, strengthening friendships and preserving the spirit of the college among its alumni overseas.
Congratulations to the entire committee for putting on such a fantastic show! A truly memorable and elegant evening celebrating 175 years of Thomian heritage. Well done to everyone involved! 💙
“A Timeless Celebration” was more than a dinner dance; it was a tribute to 175 years of heritage, friendship and the enduring Thomian spirit.
