Hounslow Janahanda Foundation celebrated its 10th Anniversary

Hounslow Janahanda Foundation celebrated its 10th Anniversary meeting on 08th March 2015 with the participation of many of its members. This Anniversary meeting was held at Hounslow Multi-cultural centre and meeting was presided over by its founder chairman Mr. Srilal Dias. Janahanda Foundation that operate in west London with purpose of providing helping hand to needy community members, has completed its 10th year in service. it is a non-profitable organisation which consist of many members who come from different walks of life. The aims and objectives of the organisation is to promote cultural values and establish cohesion amongst different ethnic communities. The organisation rendered a commendable community service specifically among Srilankan communities to iron out differences which created due to 30 year long war. Sinhala-Tamil New year celebration day which aims to bring all Srilankan on to one platform irrespective of differences is one of the biggest events that Janahanda Foundation organise every year.

At the beginning of this meeting two minutes silence was observed as a mark of respect for late Nanda Dissanayake who helped a lot for the development of Janahanda Foundation since its inception.
