The Sri Lankan Medical & Dental Association in the UK (SLMDA UK) successfully hosted its Autumn Ball 2026 on Saturday, 17 October, at the National Conference Centre (NCC), Solihull, bringing together fellow medical and dental professionals, members of the Sri Lankan community, families and friends for a memorable evening.
The glamorous occasion featured an evening of fine dining, music, dancing and entertainment, providing a wonderful opportunity for the Sri Lankan community and medical and dental professionals across the UK to reconnect, celebrate friendships and strengthen their professional and social networks.
Established in 1982, SLMDA UK is a registered charity with more than 450 members. Beyond bringing professionals together, the association plays an important role in supporting medical and dental education in Sri Lanka through library donations, research grants, student bursaries and humanitarian initiatives.
Congratulations to Dr. Kumuduni Dissanayake and the entire organising committee for their dedication, commitment and hard work in delivering such a wonderful celebration. Their efforts helped create a special occasion that brought together people from across the community.
A sincere thank you also goes to all the sponsors, supporters, volunteers and guests who contributed to making Autumn Ball 2026 a success.
The event was another wonderful reminder of the importance of community spirit, professional friendships and maintaining strong connections among Sri Lankans living in the UK.
We wish SLMDA UK continued success in bringing people together and making a lasting contribution to the medical and dental professions, both in the UK and Sri Lanka.
