MEET THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE 2016/2017 WESLEY COLLEGE OLD BOYS’ UNION UK

The Wesley College Old Boys’ Union UK held their 24th AGM on the 31st January 2016 in London.

The newly elected president Ranjith Chandrasena thanked the members for the trust reposed in him and the honour bestowed for a second year. He thanked all the committee members for the particularly committed service provided over the past year; this input enabled the union to overcome very significant difficulties in 2015 and to establish and develop several new initiatives. The union is now on a particularly stable footing to advance on account of this splendid collective effort in 2015.

The new president stressed the need to work closely with the Old Boys’ Unions in Colombo and in Australia and the college authorities in Colombo with a perspective of particular emphasis on consolidating the development of the sixth form. It was, he said, our opportunity to honour the spirit of dedication of the founding fathers.

The Principal of the Wesley was very swift in his message of congratulations and felicitations to the newly elected committee:
