The Mahamaya Old Girls’ Association (OGA) UK successfully hosted the much-anticipated Mayan Tulip Gala Night 2026 on 21st March 2026 at the elegant Radisson Red Heathrow, bringing together members of the community for an evening filled with unity, generosity, and heartfelt purpose.
Held under the theme “An evening of tulips and hope”, the event took on special significance as it dedicated its fundraising efforts to support schools and students affected by the recent cyclone in Sri Lanka. Rather than organizing a separate fundraiser, the Mahamaya community chose to transform their already planned annual gala into a meaningful initiative to help rebuild lives and educational facilities in impacted areas.
The evening was a beautiful blend of fellowship, entertainment, and compassion. Guests enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere, lively music, and memorable moments on the dance floor, all while contributing to a noble cause.
Most importantly, the generosity shown by attendees reflected the strong bond within the Mahamaya community and their deep commitment to supporting those in need back home. Funds raised during the evening will go toward essential projects such as rebuilding school libraries, sports units, and computer facilities, helping students continue their education with renewed hope for the future.
Special appreciation and heartfelt congratulations are extended to Manjula Mahanama and the dedicated Mahamaya OGA UK Committee for their outstanding leadership, vision, and tireless efforts in organizing such a successful and meaningful event.
The Mayan Tulip Gala Night 2026 will be remembered as more than just a celebration — it was an evening where kindness blossomed, generosity shone brightly, and the Mayan girls came together to make a real difference.
