Southlands College Galle Alumni UK Inaugurates Office Bearers, Launches Website

The Inauguration and Induction of the Office Bearers of Southlands College Galle Alumni UK (SCGA-UK), held on 7th June 2026, was a memorable and highly successful occasion.
The event brought together Southlanders who left the school between 1970 and 2020, united by their shared commitment to their alma mater.

A special highlight was the official launch of the SCGA-UK website by our two most senior members alongside our youngest member, symbolising the strong bond between generations of Southlanders.

We were honoured by the presence and blessings of the Presidents of our brother schools, Richmond College, Mahinda College, and St. Aloysius’ College.

Our Patron, the current Principal of Southlands College, Mrs. Sumedha Kariyawasam, addressed the gathering with heartfelt words of encouragement and support. Former Principal Mrs. Leelakanthi Gunawardena also joined virtually and shared her joy and best wishes.

The event was further enriched by the blessings and guidance of our three senior trustees

The enthusiasm, unity, and commitment shown by all participants marked the beginning of a promising journey for SCGA-UK in strengthening fellowship among members and supporting Southlands College for years to come.
